Doba is different from Worldwide Brands and Salehoo in that they not only provide you with very reputable suppliers and a wide range of competitive products but they handle practically all the steps in between, from product selection to product returns.  What I mean by this is that once you've determined what product you want to sell and actually sell it say on Ebay for instance, you actually place the order from Doba, they drop ship it for you and then handle all returns (hopefully there won't be many) directly without you having to deal with the individual supplier and they even include fraud protection.  This is an excellent benefit because it saves you a ton of time and hassle which gives you more time to research new products and Make More Money.

For you Ebayers, Doba is the awesome when it comes to putting an item on Ebay.  They have a feature that once you decide on a product, you can push it directly into your Ebay account.  This saves you so much time its crazy.  You can literally have an item up for auction within hours of signing up for Doba.

But, convenience does not come for free.  Initially Doba is a good deal at $45.99, but they do charge for some of their advanced features and the monthly fee can add up fast (45.99 X 12 months = $551.88 per year.)    That aside, Doba fills a need for some people and they do it extremely well. This is why on the main page of my website, I stress picking a company that fits your particular needs.

Doba's Positives:

  • Doba is an Ebay Certified Service Provider.
  • Lower start-up costs.  Initially you can get started with Doba for as little as $45.99 a month and is an easy way to get started without breaking the bank.  There are no long term contracts, you can cancel your membership at any time.
  • 7-Day Free Trial -   Try it out, look for some products you might be interested in selling and see if they will be profitable for you.  They do ask for a credit card but if you cancel within 7 days and on a weekday then you will not be charged.
  • Doba has a great Members Only Forum.
  • Excellent educational resources that are as comparable to Worldwide Brands  They have a program called Doba University, which I highly recommend.
  • Easy to navigate website.
  • Great customer service.  You can contact them by email, phone or online-chat and they respond very fast, usually within a couple of hours.
  • Doba has a good variety of brand name and well known items, so finding things that people actually want to buy is not too difficult to do.
  • Excellent return policy and the only dropship directory to offer a Fraud Protection Program.

Doba's Shortcomings:

  • Even though Doba is a turnkey type of drop ship service, you still need to spend time researching what will be profitable.  You will not be able to just pick any product and expect to make a profit.  With the proper research you can be highly successful with Doba.
  • Product and supplier selection is not as big as Worldwide Brands, but compared to most drop ship directories Doba is still near the top.
  • The monthly fee is reasonable, but if you don't take action and build your business, the monthly fee over a couple of years can add up.  If you are concerned about long term costs, then I'd recommend signing up for Doba, building your business and then invest in Worldwide Brands or Salehoo which have a one time joining fee.

Bottom Line:

Doba is good for beginners especially if you are trying to build your business in between life (work, kids, etc.)  Doba gives you just the right balance of product selection, competitive pricing, customer service and business and educational tools, but again convenience just like in any industry comes at a price.  They really have an excellent service that will help you make money if you put your mind to it.  Doba is one of the most cost and time effective ways to get started in the drop shipping industry especially if you have no idea what to do to get started.  Just be careful of the monthly fee adding up over time.
